Ashley Williams (born 12 November 1978 in Westchester County, New York, U.S.) is an American actress. Her father, Gurney Williams is a freelance medical journalist and her mother, Linda is a fundraiser for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. She is the younger sister of Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who is also an actress. Williams attended Rye High School in Rye, New York. She has a bachelor of fine arts degree from Boston University's theatre conservatory, having graduated in May 2001. She made her big-screen acting debut in a non-speaking role in the 1993 ensemble comedy-drama Indian Summer, which also featured her sister. Williams had a role in the television series Good Morning, Miami (2002–2004). Since then she has also appeared in episodes of How I Met Your Mother, E-Ring, Huff, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Side Order of Life.
