Assumption High School is a Catholic all-girls school located in Louisville, Kentucky, operated by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Louisville. The history of Assumption High School began in 1951 when the Most Reverend John A. Floersh, Archbishop of Louisville, asked the Sisters of Mercy to establish a new high school at the corner of Bardstown Road and Tyler Lane. The school first opened on September 6, 1955.
