Atar Arad is an Israeli-born violist, professor of music, essayist and composer residing in the United States.

Arad currently teaches at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, and at the Steans Institute for Young Artists at the Ravinia Festival in near Chicago as well as the Domaine Forget Music and Dance Academy in Quebec. Previously he was Professor of Viola at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.
