Itchy is the father of Chewbacca (who played a major role in the Battle of Kashyyyk in Revenge of the Sith and in the Galactic Civil War) and of Kallabow. He is also the father-in-law of Mallatobuck and the grandfather to Lumpawarrump, Lowbacca, and Sirrakuk. Itchy first appeared in The Star Wars Holiday Special, where he was played by actor Paul Gale.
In his younger days, Itchy was a fearless warrior. In his elder days, he can best be described as he was in the fourth draft of the script of The Star Wars Holiday Special: "a gray-haired, cranky, 400-year-old cuss." He also became a warrior of sort in his elder years, battling senility and erectile dysfunction through the ample use of holographic pleasure videos.
