Aveion Marquel Cason (pronounced /ˈeɪvi.ɒn ˈkeɪsən/) (born July 12, 1979 in St. Petersburg, Florida) is an American football running back and kick returner who is currently a free agent. Cason attended Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg, Florida, and as a junior, he rushed for 980 yards and averaged nearly 38.0 yards per kickoff return. He didn't play during his senior year after switching schools.
Cason played two years of college ball at Illinois State University, but did not play in 2000. As a freshmen in 1998, he rushed for 728 yards and eight touchdowns. In 1999 as a sophomore, Cason reached totals of 345 yards and six touchdowns, along with a 28.1-yard average on kickoff returns.
