As of the census of 2000, there were 1,286 people, 440 households, and 337 families residing in the city. The population density was 3,885.7 people per square mile (1,504.6/km²). There were 492 housing units at an average density of 1,486.6/sq mi (575.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 91.14% White, 0.39% African American, 0.31% Native American, 1.79% Asian, 0.47% Pacific Islander, 2.80% from other races, and 3.11% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.81% of the population. There were 440 households out of which 50.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.1% were married couples living together, 8.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.4% were non-families.... less
