The BBC Concert Orchestra is one of the British Broadcasting Corporation's remaining five radio orchestra and is based in London, between 1972 and 2004 at the Golders Green Hippodrome. With around fifty players it is the only one of the five which is not a full scale symphony orchestra. The BBC Concert Orchestra grew out of an earlier BBC Opera Orchestra.
