BidClix was the first online advertising network to create a "self serve" system that allowed advertisers to create and manage their advertising campaigns and allowed publishers to manage their online advertising inventory through a web-based interface. Prior to this model other advertising networks which required an employee to manually perform all tasks on behalf of the advertiser or publisher. The "self serve" system is widely copied today, and has become the standard in the online advertising industry.
