Bill Peet (January 29, 1915 – May 11, 2002) was an American children's book illustrator and a story writer for Disney Studios. Bill Peet was born in Grandview, Indiana, just two years before the United States entry into the First World War. His father was drafted into the military when Bill was three and did not return to his family after the war, except for brief periods to get money.
