The Biodefense and Public Health Database (BioHealthBase) Bioinformatics Resource Center (BRC) provides a comprehensive genomic and proteomic data repository for five pathogenic organism groups that pose a threat to public health including francisella tularensis, influenza virus, mycobacterium tuberculosis, microsporidia and ricin. The BioHealthBase BRC also provides an analysis platform and appropriate tools to facilitate genomic and proteomic study of these pathogens. The goal of the BioHealthBase BRC is to provide a resource to the scientific research community to facilitate the development of vaccines, diagnostics and therapeutics for these pathogens.
The BioHealthBase BRC has transitioned to become the Influenza Research Database (IRD) at www.fludb.org as well as the new virus bioinformatics resource center. Stay tuned for updates to the website.
