Robert Patrick "Bob" Casey, Jr. (born April 13, 1960), is the junior United States Senator from Pennsylvania, and a member of the Democratic Party. Before his election to the Senate in 2006, he served as Pennsylvania's Treasurer and Auditor General. Casey, one of eight children, was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, of Irish American descent on his father's side.
