The airport serves the Los Angeles area including Glendale, Pasadena, and the San Fernando Valley. It is also closer to Griffith Park and Hollywood than is Los Angeles International Airport, and is the only airport in the greater Los Angeles area with a direct rail connection to downtown Los Angeles.
