Bonnie is admitted into Seattle Grace Hospital after she is the victim of a train crash. She is presented into the hospital attached to another victim, Tom, by a metal pole speared through the two of them. When she arrives in the hospital, Bonnie is cracking jokes, and seems to be in no pain. We later learn that her body is supplying itself with adrenaline, which is keeping her from feeling the full extent of her pain. As time progresses, the doctors at Seattle Grace decide they must come to a decision quickly about how to proceed with Bonnie and Tom. They quickly realize one of them must be pulled off of the pole which speared them together....
