Boston-Berceau Action

The Action between the USS Boston and Berceau, was a single ship action off Guadeloupe, during the Quasi-War with France. The USS Boston (36 guns), Capt. George Little, captured the French corvette Berceau. after a twelve-hour chase and a stubborn engagement extending intermittently from 4:30 till after 10 P.M. Though almost completely dismantled, the Berceau was towed into Boston as a prize.
