His most recent film, Transsiberian (2008), a thriller starring Woody Harrelson, Emily Mortimer, and Ben Kingsley debuted on July 18, 2008 in New York City and played in theaters nationwide. His last two films have notably been funded by Spanish production companies. Anderson will direct The Living and the Dead, based on the novel of the same name by Robert Tinnell and Todd Livingston.
