Marion played high school football at West High School (Bakersfield, CA) before playing college football at the University of Nevada and was drafted by the Cowboys in the seventh round of the 1993 NFL Draft. He was used as a backup for his first two seasons before getting the chance to start in the 1995 NFL season, having six interceptions for forty yards and one touchdown. He also had an interception in Super Bowl XXX. Marion was hurt for most of the 1996 season before having a career high in tackles in 1997 with 100.
