Doug Geeslin, a Fargo-based investor, purchased the company from its founder. In 2004, Sten Corporation, a medical devices company, purchased Burger Time from Geeslin for about US$3 million. On April 29, 2007, Sten sold Burger Time to BTND LLC, a Colorado limited liability company owned by Burger Time President Gary Copperud for US$1,806,319, and accepted all liabilaties.
