The Burlington Tunnel is a railroad tunnel located in Burlington, Vermont. The tunnel was constructed as part of an eight-mile (13 km) spur connecting Lake Champlain with the main rail route, which passed through Essex Junction. The tunnel runs in a northeast/southwest curve, while the external approach trackage runs from south to east.
