Burton M. Field is Commander, 332d Air Expeditionary Wing, Joint Base Balad, Iraq. He commands more than 8,500 Airmen at Joint Base Balad, Kirkuk Regional Air Base, Sather AB, Al Asad Airfield, Contingency Operations Base Speicher and Ali Base, as well as at more than 50 forward-operating bases around Iraq. Located about 40 miles north Baghdad, Balad AB is home to the busiest single-runway operation in the Department of Defense.
