In 1997, Garlands diversified and won a 20 seat, 12 week contract to
handle overflow customer service calls for a major UK business –
and Garlands Call Centres was effectively born. The company’s growth
has been dazzling but this success is down to the people who work in the
centres and their positive attitude which our clients so much appreciate.
In 2003, business expansion led to new premises opening in the centre
of Middlesbrough; with the first phase of a fifth development - a Contact
Centre Village in Stockton - due to open shortly. The company today employs
around 3000 full and part-time people, making it the second largest private
employer in the Tees Valley region.
