He is the brother to fellow band members, bass guitarist Jared Followill, drummer Nathan Followill, and cousin to lead guitarist Matthew Followill. Caleb was born to Betty Ann and Ivan Leon Followill, a Pentecostal evangelist minister, who traveled around the South. Caleb recently smashed his beloved 1972 Gibson ES-325 after sound problems at Reading Feastival on 10th July 2009.
