The Canon PowerShot S1 IS is a 3.2 megapixel digital camera announced on February 9, 2004. It was the second of Canon's cameras in the superzoom category, with an integrated 10x zoom lens and image stabilization technology (IS). Its predecessor was the Canon PowerShot Pro90, a $1,500 camera, with both 10x zoom lens and IS, but with only 2.6 megapixels.
