Carol Connors acted in mainstream productions prior to beginning her adult entertainment career, appearing in Howard Hawks' Red Line 7000 (1965) prior to reaching fame in Deep Throat (1972) and The Erotic Adventures of Candy (1978). In the late 1970s, she had notable appearances in Gail Palmer's The Erotic Adventures of Candy (1978) and Candy Goes to Hollywood (1979). In 1981 she directed and starred in Desire for Men (1981).
She also appeared on several episodes of The Gong Show as a hostess who introduced Chuck Barris at the start of the show. Her Gong Show appearances were parodied in Candy Goes to Hollywood.
Carol Connors is married to Jack Birch, who co-starred in some of her films. Their daughter is actress Thora Birch and son actor Bolt Birch.
