The film's executive producers were Tim Anderson and Alex Ebert from the band Ima Robot. Carving Out Our Name tells the story of four struggling actors as they develop their careers and become successful, as filmed by their roommate, Tony Zierra. The movie premiered at the Toronto Film Festival on September 10, 2001. It was never released. The director, Tony Zierra destroyed all existing prints of "Carving". However, the original 200+ hours of footage that Zierra shot was utilized to create the final version of the story, 2008's My Big Break'. less
