Cefuroxime

Cefuroxime is a second generation parenteral cephalosporin antibiotic. It was discovered by Glaxo (now GlaxoSmithKline) and introduced in 1978 under the brand name Zinacef. It was approved by FDA on Oct 19, 1983, and is available in US under trade name Ceftin. In India it is available as Supacef by GSK.
