Central Federal District

The Central Federal District (Russian: Центра́льный федера́льный о́круг, Tsentralny federalny okrug) is one of the eight federal districts of Russia. The word "Central" is of political and historical meaning; geographically, the district is situated in the extreme west of Russia.
