Charles Baker Finch (born March, 1920) was an American businessman. The descendant of early English and Dutch pilgrims, Charles Finch was the second son of Henry L. Finch and the grandson of Stephen Baker, President of the Bank of the Manhattan Company.
Finch grew up in Manhattan and attended the Buckley School, Phillips Academy, Yale University, and Yale Law School, where he was editor of the law review the Yale Law Journal. After graduating from law school he argued multiple cases before the United States Supreme Court.
Later he was CEO and Chairman of the Board of Allegheny Power System until he was succeeded by Klaus Bergman in 1985. He sat on the boards of dozens of foundations, colleges, and companies, notable among them the New York City Mission, the Josiah Macy, Jr Foundation and Cooper Union, where a lab is named after him.
