Chef David Harbour (born 1962) was one of the first chefs to achieve the successful postal transmission of desserts. He is the owner of New York Pastry and Dessert Company (NYPDc) (since 1985) and Corporate Sweets (since 1988), one of the country's first internet based Corporate Recognition Programs featuring desserts as gifts. The company produces restaurant style desserts which are shipped overnight in boxes. Desserts include flourless chocolate cakes, infused creme brulees, double chocolate babkas, 3C mocha cheesecakes and crash cakes. Harbour was trained by Nichalaus Shumacher, and has worked for Marmalade Cafe and Gotham Hall of Los Angeles, The Madison of Long Beach, and A Good Chef Catering. While working as the executive chef at the Madison, Harbour would appear on KABC Sunday Mornings to present cooking demonstrations.
