Chip Reid is the Chief White House Correspondent for CBS News. He assumed the position on January 5, 2009. Prior to the post, he was the network's congressional correspondent. He was previously with NBC News, where he covered politics and Capitol Hill. Reid was born Charles Henry Reid, Jr. in Wilmington, Delaware, to Charles H Reid Sr. and Norma Reid.
