Born in Wichita, Kansas, Chris Buck studied for two years at the prestigious California Institute of the Arts, commonly referred to as CalArts. One of the first major projects he worked on was Disney’s The Fox and the Hound (1981), which he followed-up by helping with the short Fun with Mr. Future (1982). As his career continued to flourish, Buck likewise found animation work in commercials for such Los Angeles-based companies as FilmFair, Kurtz & Friends and Duck Soup.
