Malthouse is a journalist for Network Ten and is the daughter of Mick Malthouse, Australian rules football player and current coach of the Collingwood Magpies. In addition to her boundary-riding role for Ten's Australian Football League coverage, Christi Malthouse has also been a sports presenter for Ten News and appears on shows such as 9am with David and Kim as a health and fitness reporter, and Before The Game. She currently hosts the football lifestyle show Beyond the Boundary.
On 18 November 2007, Christi wed her sweetheart, personal trainer Dean Casamento, in a sunset ceremony overlooking the bay at the Port Melbourne Yacht Club. On 4 December 2008, Christie gave birth to her first child, son Zachary.
