Christoph "Sumi" Sumann (19 January 1976, in Judenburg, Styria) is an Austrian biathlete.
As many fellow biathletes Sumann picked up the sport switching from cross-country skiing he had been doing since childhood. By mid-1990s he entered junior ski team of Austria and he made it onto the senior level later on. He was a skillful sprinter at the time.

As many fellow biathletes Sumann picked up the sport switching from cross-country skiing he had been doing since childhood. By mid-1990s he entered junior ski team of Austria and he made it onto the senior level later on. He was a skillful sprinter at the time.
Sumann started as a biathlete in 2000 and he has been doing on top level for 11 seasons now. In his maiden season in biathlon he made quite a debut finishing in the top 20 of the World Cup races on a regular basis.
His first World Cup win came in 2002–03 Biathlon World Cup season and he finished 15th in the World Cup total. The subsequent seasons were quite a success for Sumann as he managed to remain in top 20 in the world all the time.
