Landey made guest appearances on many tv shows, including The Dukes of Hazzard, Dynasty, Babylon 5, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in the Season 7 episode "Prodigal Daughter", and appeared in Stargate: Atlantis.
Landey was once married to actress Lin Shaye. He grew up in the South Bronx and is Jewish.
