He was seen in the film Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country as the defense attorney who was appointed to defend Captain James T. Kirk and Doctor Leonard McCoy against charges of assassin Chancellor Gorkon. Despite giving his best efforts, Colonel Worf was unsuccessful, and Kirk and McCoy were convicted of the charges. Worf was able to convince the judge that the evidence was not strong enough to support the death penalty however, and Kirk and McCoy were afforded the "lesser" penalty of a lifetime's exile to Rura Penthe.
