Playable factions were set to include Global Defense Initiative, the Brotherhood of Nod and The Forgotten. The extent (or even existence) of character classes remains unknown.
A moving and evolving Tiberian world, where the players could play a great role in the entire story was also set to be included as a feature. Also lanned was a newer concept at the time of instance dungeons, called "crisis zones," replete with scripted boss battles.
