Conestoga, nicknamed "'Stoga," is located 20 miles northwest of Philadelphia in the suburbs known as the Main Line. Frequently ranked by organizations as one of the best schools in Pennsylvania and currently ranked as the seventy-ninth best high school in the United States, Conestoga offers more Advanced Placement (AP) classes and boasts more National Merit Semifinalists than any other school in the state, public or private. Last year, students took 1,148 AP tests in total, of which 93% were passed with a 3 or higher. The average SAT score for the Class of 2008 was 594 in math, 580 in reading and 579 in writing.
