He returned in season 3 to protect his sister Deb from Dan Scott (Deb's ex-husband) and met Rachel Gatina on an internet dating site. However he only discovered that she was 17 when he saw her cheerleading at one of the Tree Hill Ravens game. He still had sex with her that night but decided not to see her again afterwards, citing the age gap between them.
