Cordell Barker

Cordell Barker is considered to be one of Canada’s best animators. He was born in 1956 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and began animating in his late teens, after taking on an apprenticeship at Kenn Perkins Animation. His most notable animated shorts include The Cat Came Back (1988) and Strange Invaders (2002), both of which received Oscar nominations. He has completed his third film for the NFB, Runaway, in 2009.
