Mark Alexander "Corky" Ballas, Sr. (born December 25, 1960) is a retired competitive ballroom dancer who holds several Latin dance championship titles.

Corky's dad, George C. Ballas, Sr., owned and operated the largest dance studio in the world in Houston, a 64,000-square-foot (5,900 m) facility that employed 125 teachers. George was also responsible for revolutionizing the lawn maintenance industry as the inventor of the Weed Eater.
Corky and Shirley were 1996 Open to the World International Champions, 1995–1996 Open to the World British Champions, twice British National Champions, Star - World Cup - UK - Champions, and seven times undefeated United States International Latin Champions. They retired in 1996. The partnership between them made them one of the most successful Latin American dancers in that decade.
