Cuauhtémoc is one of the 16 delegaciones (boroughs) of the Mexican Federal District. It was formed in 1970 when the former subdivision of Mexico City was split up; the delegaciones of Miguel Hidalgo, Benito Juárez, and Venustiano Carranza also resulted from this split.
