Spencer is married to New Zealand-born actor Russell Crowe. They married on Crowe's 39th Birthday (7 April) in 2003 and have two sons, Charles Spencer Crowe, born 21 December 2003 and Tennyson Spencer Crowe (named after the famous English poet Alfred Lord Tennyson), born 7 July 2006.
