Daniel Robert Elfman (born May 29, 1953) is an American musician who is famous for composing scores and songs for Tim Burton's films, the "The Simpsons Theme" and leading the rock band Oingo Boingo as singer/songwriter from 1976 until its breakup in 1995, and has composed film scores extensively since 1985's Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
