Sabara was born and raised in Torrance, California of Jewish heritage. His fraternal twin brother, Evan, is also an actor. The two had a joint Bar Mitzvah in 2005. He plays the guitar and the piano, and is planning on attending college and studying film. He attended Bert Lynn Middle School and Arlington Elementary School, and is currently attending West High School as a senior and is involved in the cross-country team along with his brother Evan.
