Dave Mello was the drummer of the punk/ska band Operation Ivy. He was one of the key pieces to the musical feel of Operation Ivy. Even though he had only drummed in two other bands, he was considered a very talented drummer in Operation Ivy's heyday, yet is considered underappreciated today.
