David Morritz de Kretser, AC (born 27 April 1939) is an Australian medical researcher, and the Governor of Victoria. He succeeded John Landy as the 27th Governor of Victoria on 7 April 2006. The Victorian Premier at the time, Steve Bracks announced the appointment on 19 January 2006.

Of Burgher ancestry, de Kretser was born in Sri Lanka (then known as Ceylon), and immigrated to Australia with his family when aged nine. He was educated at Camberwell Grammar School (where he is currently a member of the school board), received his MBBS degrees from the University of Melbourne in 1962, and his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Monash University in 1969.
