The scene in which Peter Parker is hanging below the helicarrier is similar to a Star Wars scene where Luke Skywalker is doing the same thing.
When the Chameleon appeared as Spider-Man's first main villain in Amazing Spider-Man, he used costumes and makeup in order to impersonate people. Whilst in this series, the character never speaks using his own voice. The episode was later adaptated into comic book format and was reprinted several times.
