Fox Searchlight paid $2 million to acquire the worldwide distribution rights (excluding Russia and the Baltic states) of this film. This film grossed $31.9 million at the Russian box office alone. It is the second part in the Night Watch trilogy, although the third film (Dusk or Twilight Watch) has not yet been produced.
