Dayjur (foaled 6 February 1987) was an American-bred racehorse who was trained by Dick Hern in the United Kingdom. He was beaten only four times out of eleven starts and of those, one was because he did not stay the trip, and another in the most freakish circumstances. That was in his final race, the Breeders' Cup Sprint at Belmont Park, in 1990, when Dayjur looked set for victory only to attempt to jump the shadow of the grandstand near the line...
