On March 8, 2004, DC Shoes was acquired by Quiksilver in an $87 Million USD transaction. DC Shoes moved from Vista, California to Quiksilver's headquarters in Huntington Beach in 2010.

The current skate team includes professionals Steve Berra, Chris Cole, Rob Dyrdek, Colin McKay, Josh Kalis, Nyjah Huston, Mikey Taylor, Mike Mo, Matt Miller, Wes Kremer, and Danny Way, and amateurs Evan Smith, Davis Torgerson, Marquise Henry and Felipe Gustavo.
