Design and Construction of The Dome of Discovery

The Dome of Discovery was designed and constructed for the 1951 Festival of Britain.  It was designed by architect Ralph Tubbs in the Modernist Style and the consulting structural engineers were Freeman, Fox and Partners, of which employees Oleg Kerensky (later Dr. Oleg) and Gilbert Roberts (later Sir Gilbert) played a predominant role. more
